From August 2022 to August this year, the team behind Clearwater Utilities have been supporting the developers to bring back to life the Lighthouse View building. The building had been left deserted, empty and derelict for over 20 years, but is now home to a 20,000 sq ft 24hr gym, beauty centre and a large well known charity organisation.
Overview
Clearwater Utilities plan a strategy to help reduce utility expenditure across the site.
Solution
Following a review and analysis of the existing energy contracts, CWU worked with NPOWER on the installation of a new half hourly meter for the whole site, together with a strategy for solar on the entire roof space to reduce the carbon footprint of the building.

Overview
Our client acquired a brand-new site and came to us for guidance on procurement to find the right types of energy and water contracts to meet their business requirements. On moving site, they had experienced numerous issues with suppliers for billing, communication, service, and unrealistic timeframes. Suppliers were also requiring a lot of documentation to support the changeover which was found to be very time consuming.
Solution
Following a consultation, straight away we found ways of saving through load management of operating hours and deriving high costs during peak hours and a reduction of KVA, this was set higher due to the previous tenant’s sites demands.
Choosing the right type of contract was key to meet plans and work with their facilities continuously through our flexible contracting options.
